Talk about getting the short end of the stick here... In my 20 team hardcore fantasy football mock draft, I got stuck with the 20th pick. The results of this deep, deep, deep league are below. By the time it was my turn for my first round pick, I knew that I had to implement the Zero RB draft strategy. The top 11 ranked RB's were drafted, and the best player available was Jordy Nelson. My options were Alfred Morris or Jordy Nelson.. Looking at my options, I knew that I had to get creative... With my first round selection, I went with: Jordy Nelson, WR Green Bay Packers With my second selection, I went back to Green Bay and picked up the #2 ranked QB Aaron Rodgers. By the time my third round pick came up again, the RB class was more thin than I could have imagined. Even TJ Yeldon from the Jaguars was already off the board! If i waited any longer to draft RB's, I might be stuck with handcuff's only... Or would I? I decided to wait. With my third and fourth round picks, I went for Amari Cooper and Vincent Jackson. I think Cooper will have a solid year in Oakland, and Jackson should improve with Winston under center for Tampa Bay. For a minute, I thought about getting Andre Ellington, but couldn't pull the trigger. It actually played out exactly how I wanted to. With Rashad Jennings still on the board, I made the New York Giants RB my first RB off the board with the 5th round with the 100th overall pick. It was time to go back-to-back RB, and I grabbed rookie RB Tevin Coleman from Atlanta. When it was my turn to pick again in the 7th round, I couldn't help but pass up Andre Williams. Hand cuff RB, Check. I actually ended up with a pretty solid team, which I was surprised about with the 20th pick in a 20 team league, and trying the Zero RB draft strategy. What do you think?
